World première given at the Assembly House, Norwich, on 27 April 2012 by Mark Padmore (tenor) and the following members of Britten Sinfonia: Jacqueline Shave, Miranda Dale (violins), Clare Finnimore (viola), Caroline Dearnley (cello), Emer McDonough (flute) and Nicholas Daniel (oboe).
