Synopsis

Based on a Faroese folk dance tune collected in 1905, Faeroe Island Dance is Grainger's final work for wind band, completed in 1954. The full title of the tune he incorporates is Let's Dance Gay in Green Meadows and 'Neath the Mould Shall Never Dancer's Tread go.
