»Retrials - Possibilities and Limits to Set aside an Erroneous Judicial Decision via sect. 359 et seqq. of the German Code of Criminal Procedure (StPO)«The thesis deals with the question if sect. 359 et seqq. of the German code of criminal procedure (StPO) provide an effective legal framework to set aside an erroneous judicial decision that has obtained legal force. For this purpose, judicial decisions are categorized and examined considering a possible revision via sect. 359 et seqq. StPO. It is shown, as a result, that the scope of application of these rules is wider than it has commonly been assumed.
