When the stars move...

Emma wondered how to pray when you were very small and didn't have a grownup giving you words. She knew eyes did a lot of talking. In the mornings when Mum said, here's your lunch, her eyes said hurry up!

Emma wondered if God's eyes said things.

Would you answer me if I talked to you, God?

She stared really hard at the dark sky. That's when she saw the stars move.

Are you there, God?

A star fell out of the sky right then. It came all the way down to earth.

So you are there.

And just like that she knew talking to God was what praying was all about.
