Twist of The Wrist: A Young Man's Travels
Synopsis
This fiction novella describes a young man learning from his traveling adventures. His motorcycle takes him to work in a sawmill in Montana, an air show in Wisconsin, a boat yard near Seattle. Beekeeping, screen printing, computers, playing jazz in a nightclub, college, presenting a technical paper in New York, and installing a computer in Germany. He mourns with a duck that lost his mate on the TransCanada Highway. He helps rescue lost fishermen, builds a house for a friend, joins a church for community not religion, and observes how fish, like us, build homes for their families. He receives applause when he asks a girl for a date in German in his college German class and she accepts. He observes how honeybees learn from their mistakes. As he becomes a computer engineer, he meets his future wife and his journey evolves into using his knowledge to create his own home and family.
