Tools for Professional Development of Childcare Providers: Practice Analysis and the Care Plan.DE
Synopsis
As a program coordinator and trainer for newly certified childcare providers, I wanted to understand the learners' learning processes and adapt my practices and approaches as an adult educator. It therefore seemed relevant, as part of a research project conducted during my Professional Master's degree in Education and Training, to evaluate the training program and the pedagogical methods used, particularly the analysis of practices and the care plan. The results show that their knowledge and practices align with the relevant fields and models at a rate of 79% prior to the analysis of professional practices and 97% after training. Childcare assistants are moving toward greater autonomy in their practices in accordance with regulations and situations. They have thus progressed from a beginner to an advanced professional level. To complement this quantitative research, I then sought to understand, through epistemological research, child care providers' relationship to the written development and use of their care plans, as well as the appropriate approaches for trainers in the context of their support.
