This book contends that ancient racial ideologies--encompassing prevailing beliefs, attitudes, and practices regarding race--provide valuable insights into the Gospel of John's portrayal of the Holy Spirit. It examines the racial rhetoric surrounding lineages, racial violence, cross-cultural encounters, and the formation of a new familial identity, all interpreted through the lens of the Holy Spirit.
