Part travelogue, part cultural critique, with takes on drugs, science, love, loss, philosophy, scatology and sarcasm, and poetry itself, The Road to Hedotopia is a wild ride into the heart of our broken world. Written across several decades the poems feature places ranging from Northampton and Montague, Massachussetts to Treasure Island, Florida, Lisbon, Spoleto, Havana, Manhattan, Seattle, Reykjavik in Iceland, to Mount Teide (which inspired the Surrealists) on the volcanic island Tenerife, the highest point of any island in the Atlantic Ocean.
