MORE THAN FRIENDSHIP
Obadiah Brenneman and Clara Rose Yutzy have been friends since grade school. Their relationship is unusual, but they both can recognize that a good friend is so important in life, regardless of gender. They've never had any romantic feelings for each other, until Clara Rose tells Obie that she's getting married. Once that news is out, Obie realizes that he can't let Clara Rose marry another. Not even a great guy like Thomas Lapp.

Tess Smiley is new to Wells Landing having just moved there from their sister settlement in Clarita, Oklahoma. Though she's hours away from her childhood friends and her family, she's willing to make the best of her new start with her husband, Jacob.
