The Gift: A Short Story of the Nativity by author Charlotte Reed is a children's book that retells the story of Jesus' birth as seen through the eyes of a boy named Daniel. When a mysterious boy shows up on Daniel's doorstep during Christmastime, Daniel decides to tell him the Christmas story about Jesus being born.
