The Chocolate River Chronicles

Tommy Miller is an eleven-year-old boy struggling with his parents' divorce and relentless bullying at school. Feeling invisible and alone, he makes a desperate wish upon a shooting star to find somewhere magical where he can escape his pain. His wish opens an extraordinary portal through his bedroom closet to the Land of Sweet Dreams, a fantastical realm where chocolate rivers flow past dancing taffy trees, jellybean fish perform water ballets, and giant lollipops chime like wind chimes in groves of crystallized wonder.

Guided by the mysterious Candy Cane Man, Tommy embarks on an adventure through this confectionery wonderland, traveling down chocolate rivers in a boat made of woven licorice and exploring the magnificent Gumdrop Hills where dreams take physical form. Along the way, he meets other children from around the world who have found their way to this magical place through their own pain and longing. Together, they discover the healing power of wonder, friendship, and believing in themselves as they journey toward the legendary Carousel of Dreams, where the most profound magic of all awaits them.
