The Breadwinner

Traditional Chinese edition of The Breadwinner by Canadian writer Deborah Ellis. The story is about the harsh reality of living under terror of the Taliban in Afghanistan where girls are barred from getting out of their home. When her father was taken away by the Taliban, 11-year-old Parvana had to disguise herself as a boy to become the breadwinner of the family to support her mother and siblings.
