5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

5:2 Anjeunna muka sungutna, tuluy ngajar ka aranjeunna, saurna,

5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:3 Rahayu jalma anu miskin dina haténa, sabab Karajaan Sawarga téh kagungan maranéhna.

5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5:4 Rahayu jalma anu sedih, sabab maranehna bakal dilipur.

5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

5:5 Rahayu jalma anu lemah lembut, sabab maranehna bakal ngawaris bumi.

5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

5:6 Rahayu jalma anu lapar jeung haus kana kaadilan, sabab maranehna bakal disugemakeun.
