Structural Design Technology and Practice of Airport Terminals
Synopsis
This book provides a systematic and comprehensive summary of typical technical issues involved in terminal structural design, based on the analysis of the structural characteristics of contemporary airport terminal buildings and combined with engineering practices. The content covers the formation of special sites, foundation and underground, main structure, roof structure, ancillary structures, curtain wall support structures and roof systems, and the renovation of existing terminal buildings. It also explores special issues such as rail transit induced vibration, anti-terrorism and blast resistance, and structural health monitoring. Finally, 12 terminal structural design projects that the author has led and participated in over the past 30 years were selected for in-depth case analysis. This book can serve as a reference for the design, research, and construction of terminal and transportation hub building structures. The basis of English translation of this book, originally in Chinese, was facilitated by artificial intelligence. The content was later revised by the author for accuracy.
