Small Parties in Western Europe: Comparative and National Perspectives

This is the first comparative analysis of small parties in Western Europe. It fills a significant gap in the comparative study of political parties and party systems in the region. It formulates five approaches to the study of small parties and then applies these to selected national case studies. This original work will be of value to all political scientists interested in parties and party systems in Western Europe.
