Slaughterhouse Run

After years of presumed death in the apocalyptic wasteland, Patrick Deen and Ben Fogelvee are reunited at last. But it's a jarring reunion; Patrick has been on his own for so long, and Ben is dying, wracked by a Green Fever that's dissolving his body from the inside out.

Back on Horace's train, Patrick, Ben, and a small team of young Red Caps find one final glimmer of hope: a rumored cure on the coast of California, 2,000 miles away, with the clock ticking down to Ben Fogelvee's death. Amid the chaos and destruction of the end of the world, there's only one route left to southern California - the Slaughterhouse Run, a long stretch of dangerous track ruled by warring factions of deranged killers, looking to derail and destroy any train crew crazy enough to take the route. Patrick and Ben blast into an explosive new breakneck adventure, one that will see them either find the potential cure or die trying at the hands of the most brutal post-apocalyptic warriors they've ever met.
