Why do our rural post-industrial landscapes look the way they do? Slacklands records the co-dependency of functional buildings with their abandoned or rundown sites,
which will shape our views of the Anthropocene.

From relics of the Atlantic Wall, Scotland to an off limits island used as a former Cold War Military Camp in Albania,
each section is forwarded with illustrative interpretations of the buildings by artist Peter Nencini.
