Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes For Energy Harvesting, Storage, And Generation
Synopsis
This book reviews progress made in exploring the relevant properties and technological potential for single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in energy harvesting, generation, and storage. 2025 marked the 40th anniversary of the discovery of the zero dimensional (0D) fullerene, which introduced the world to a new class of nanocarbon materials. This discovery was followed by the discovery of 1D SWCNTs in the 1990s and 2D graphene in the early 2000s.1D SWCNTs have many unique properties that have motivated their study and incorporation into next-generation applications, and they have emerged as attractive materials within emerging energy technologies. This book covers topics such as SWCNTs in thin-film photovoltaic applications, energy storage in advanced batteries, and energy harvesting via thermoelectric and kinetic energy harvesting devices.
