Sharing the Difference: Feminist Debates in Holland

First published in 1991, Sharing the Difference reflects on the depth and wealth of Dutch feminist theories and the dynamism of the women's movement in the Netherlands.

The book is a selection of articles from the influential women's studies journal Tijdschrift voor Vrouwenstudies, translated from the original Dutch. Focusing on four main themes: equality versus difference, theory and history, the body, and French thought and psychoanalysis, Sharing the Difference puts onto the international feminist agenda a new tradition of research and thinking in women's studies and feminist theory.
