In a discussion on how counsellors integrate prayer and professional practice, someone asked why it had taken so long for someone to ask such an obvious question. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that it highlights areas that require deeply personal answers. They touch on practice at the level or what we believe about the very nature of human beings and our relationships with each other.'

The counselling profession is committed to being non-directive and non-judgmental. But what happens when prayer is part of the counsellor's life? Or part of the client's? Or both?
