Satisfactio: Uber (Un-)Moglichkeiten Von Wiedergutmachung

With this anthology titled Satisfactio the DFG-network Bearing Guilt. The Church and its Guilt summarizes a three-year discussion process. After both the publications Contritio (BOR 114) and Confessio (BOR 118), it sheds light on the question of how relations that are broken by guilt can be transformed. Even more than it is the case with regret (confessio) and confession of guilt (contritio), the idea of human activity is central to satisfactio. It aims at identifying responsibilities as well as demanding to accept these responsibilities. The publication closes with ten theses that can be understood as a condensate of the network's discussion.
