Ruby is a cute, cuddly Shiba Inu with a mind of her own and a knack for trouble. Ruby chases a rabbit on a camping trip with her best friend, Anna, and becomes lost in the woods. The fox-like dog comes face-to-face with several forest animals, including a bear, a beaver, and a moose, who make snap judgements about the little pup and reject her based on their preconceived notions. Eventually, the sad Shiba Inu finds a wise owl who can see that Ruby is a little dog with a big heart.
