Rockburst Mechanism and Intelligent Early Warning: Insights from True Triaxial Unloading Tests
Synopsis
Rockburst presents a significant challenge in geotechnical engineering, often called the 'cancer' of deep ground engineering. Without advanced scientific and effective experimental techniques, understanding its disaster mechanism remains difficult. Complex geological conditions also hamper current early warning methods, leading to generally low success rates. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, this book reviews key advances in understanding the disaster mechanism and in developing intelligent early warning systems for deep rockbursts, based on true triaxial unloading experiments. It aims to accurately simulate the rockburst process, analyze its mechanisms, and establish reliable early warning techniques. The insights are intended to offer a theoretical foundation and practical strategies to prevent rockburst disasters in deep tunnels.
