Religion ALS Imagination

On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Marco Frenschkowski, Professor of New Testament Studies at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Leipzig, the Festschrift Religion as Imagination was launched. Under this title, renowned authors from various disciplines and special fields express their academic connection with the honoured and his research. The result documents a rather unusual combination of theology and exegesis, magic and faith, literature and fantasy, and leads the reader from antiquity to the present. The Festschrift thus reflects Marco Frenschkowski's extremely complex and multifaceted interest in a very special way and should also be an inspiration for current discussions on the interaction of different disciplines.
