Reduced Graphene Oxide Based Chemiresistive Gas Sensors: DE
Synopsis
Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is a derivative of graphene. The rGO is obtained from reduction of graphene oxide and it is an intermediate step between GO and graphene. It has unique properties of light weight, charge transport, optical transparency and high specific surface area. These properties make reduced graphene oxide an interesting candidate for gas sensing application at room temperature. The reduced graphene oxide based sensors operate at room temperature and having high sensing response with stability under ambient conditions. With this motivation, the various synthesis routes other than chemical and thermal reduction, the reduction of the samples by low ion implantation and swift heavy ion irradiation is reported. The prepared samples tested for the gas sensing applcations.
