Topics: Aristotle's reversal of the argument between Cebes and Socrates in Plato's Phaedo on the immortality of the human soul; the argument and action of Plato's Protagoras and the emergence of Socrates as philosopher; Socrates' education from Diotima in Plato's Symposium; the apparent absence in Aristotle of the modern understanding of the human subject; a new interpretation of the material influences on daemons according to Iamblichus.
