On the Edge: Work by PLAYA Residents 2017

On the Edge is an anthology of creative work produced in 2017 by residents at PLAYA, an arts residency center in Summer Lake, Oregon, on the edge of the Great Basin. Featured work includes poetry, essays, sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, fiber art, land art, architecture, and dance. Artists, writers and thinkers created the work while staying at PLAYA, which offers creative individuals the space, solitude and the community to reflect and to engage their work through its residency program. PLAYA supports innovative thinking through work in the arts, literature, natural sciences and other fields of creative inquiry and encourages dialogue between disciplines to bring positive change to the environment and the world.
