On the Development of Bengali Songs

This is an introductory of work on the development of history of Bengali songs including a general description of major types, which were developed since ancient to modern period. The general characteristics and basic components of Bengali songs are described in the introduction. Though there are many books and articles regarding the history and the other aspects of Bengali songs, but the attempt in the book can help in releasing the basic concept of evolution of different types of Bengali songs.
