On the A162 from York

Felicity Cooper is on the run from the city of York, heading south. It's the summer of 1972, but her parents live in the dark ages, demanding she marry Henry, her father's colleague at the bank. Behind her back, her mother's set the date and booked the venue.

Jack has always drifted in life, much to his family's dismay. Unable to focus on one thing for long, he's left behind a paying job and a broken heart in a tiny village - he's heading north to the city where no one knows him, the pastels in his art bag his only friends.

On the A162, their two worlds collide when Jack almost runs Felicity over.
