Synopsis

Oceans Apart is a romantic sea adventure of danger, survival, and a second chance at love.

After two magnificent weeks of sun, sea, and family aboard Blue Dolphin, Mike McGowin expects the voyage home to be peaceful. But at sunrise near Guadalupe Island, he spots what looks like a body tangled in a patch of kelp.

A closer look reveals a young woman barely clinging to life, bound, beaten, and near hypothermia.

When Mike pulls her from the water, he discovers she is not a stranger. She is Tracy, the woman he once loved and lost to time, distance, and life's painful turns. But their unexpected reunion is only the beginning.

Tracy's sister is still being held captive by dangerous men connected to a wealthy drug lord, and time is running out. With no safe way to turn to the authorities, Mike, Joel, and the crew of Blue Dolphin are pulled into a deadly rescue mission across open water.

A suspenseful sea story filled with danger, loyalty, family, and second chances, Oceans Apart is Book One of A McGowin Family Saga. It can be read as a standalone novel or as the beginning of the McGowin family's connected journey.
