English summary: Genomic high-throughput technologies (GHTT) represent a fast and cost-effective tool towards a more comprehensive understanding of the molecular background of complex diseases. The growing volume and complexity of datasets increase the need for sustainable infrastructure and state-of-the-art tools for efficient data management, including analysis and integration. Physicians and other healthcare professionals should be informed about the restrictions, the potential of GHTT and basic, partly unresolved legal, social, and ethical issues. The conference proceedings presented here include interdisciplinary contributions from the workshops organized by the researching group "GenoPerspektiv" in November 2016 and July 2017 at the University of Gottingen, which had the declared aim of systematically capturing the topic in its varied relations and current trends.

German description: Genomische Hochdurchsatztechnologien (GHTT) stellen ein schnelles und kosteneffizientes Verfahren dar, um ein umfassenderes Verstandnis des molekularen Hintergrunds komplexer Krankheiten zu erlangen. Das wachsende Volumen und die Komplexitat von Datensatzen erhohen den Bedarf an nachhaltiger Infrastruktur und modernen Werkzeugen fur ein effizientes und nachhaltiges Datenmanagement sowie die Analyse und interdisziplinare Interpretation der Daten. Arzte und andere Fachleute im Gesundheitswesen sollten daher uber die Einschrankungen, Potenziale und grundlegenden, teils ungeklarten rechtlichen, sozialen und ethischen Fragen rund um genomische Hochdurchsatztechnologien aufgeklart sein. Der Tagungsband umfasst interdisziplinare Beitrage, die zum Ziel hatten, das Thema in seinen vielfaltigen Bezugen und aktuellen Entwicklungstendenzen systematisch zu erfassen.
