Any critic of liberalism is by modern definition either a populist demagogue, an irrational person, or just stupid, yet as liberalism's future looks increasingly grim, its defenders continually default to the virtue of criticism, refusing to acknowledge its inherent institutional and social defects that have brought us to the present. Is there really no other alternative or is it a collective failure of imagination?

New Gods, New Masters draws from the insights of some of the most vociferous historical critics of liberal governance and social theorists and puts them into a practically intelligible construct, while warning contemporary critics of the need to contextualize, to be honest about their intentions, and be clear about what they want to see happen outside of expressing emotional rhetoric. Anti-liberalism needs an institutional base, concise communication and vision, and actual planning to redesign and remake the future. Nothing else will do.
