The term 'Artificial Intelligence' no longer means what it used to. The idea is still the same, i.e., the use of computing technology to perform tasks which only human beings could perform before. But today's scientists have gone beyond expert systems and computer algebra to new realms where complex problems are solved with tools like neural networks and fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, object-oriented programming, and powerful symbolic manipulation techniques.
