Synopsis
Robbie MacGregor has a dilemma; he has followed his heart and served the country that his father loves, but when Napoleon Bonaparte uses him as a spy to betray his mother's country he begins to have doubts. When he is accused of murder he is left with little choice; he leaves the French or dies at the hands of unscrupulous men who abuse their positions of power. The story shifts from the desert to the sea as Robbie has to flee for his life. He finds himself lost between two worlds and both see him as an enemy.
Set against the Battle of the Pyramids and Napoleon's Egyptian campaign, the novel is filled with both the glorious battles and cavalry charges as well as the grim reality of fighting a war in an inhospitable desert. The second book in Griff Hosker's enthralling Napoleonic Horseman series. This is perfect for fans of Bernard Cornwell, C.S. Forester and Alexander Kent.
