Myths of Origin: Waste Land

My name is Nit... I... died. Well, at least part of me did. You see, I'm not just one person, but the collection of many spirits that formed... well, me! We are styxians, beings that were once Soul Stones trapped in the River Styx and now revived as spirits back into the After World - the realm of all lost souls searching for a few more hours on the clock.

From slave to Time Keeper, I've fought and struggled to earn my place in this realm of the unliving. Yet there is so much more to fighting here, so much more to a life of the dead. The Keepers speak of the Cross Over, a festival that all Initiates take when joining their Corps. According to my masters, if we succeed in Crossing Over, we can become a fully-fledged Initiate. It's one more step towards obtaining a voice, one more step towards staving off Enervation, one more step towards the freedom I crave.
