Mit Den Ohren Lesen: Zur Akustischen Dimension Von Schriftfixierter Lyrik Und Zu Drei Stationen Einer Sprachklanggeschichte Der Deutschsprachigen Lyrik (Klaj - Klopstock - Tieck)

In poetics up to the present day, poetry has repeatedly been characterized as a form of sound art. Yet a large part of the surviving lyrical production handed down from tradition is only available in written form. In this study, suggestions are made as to how the acoustic or auditory dimension of these lyrical formations can be reconstructed. It thus contributes to the research fields of both lyricology and historical sound science. The method presented here is subsequently tested in three literary-historical model studies on Johann Klaj, Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock and Ludwig Tieck. The chapters of the historical part can be read as contributions to a linguistic sound history of German-language poetry which has yet to be written.
