Misgovernance: Grand Corruption in Malaysia

In Malaysia's corporate sector, comprising a vast number of government-linked companies (GLCs), a political-business system has emerged contributing to grand corruption. This book offers evidence of a 'Political-GLC complex' featuring multi-faceted covert government-business relations. Power is overwhelmingly concentrated in the executive arm of government whose misgovernance of this complex has had major economic and political ramifications. A compilation of political-business controversies between 1980 and 2023, along with three case studies, provides insights into a deeply corrupt GLC ecosystem that can function legitimately.
