Mind Drifter

What would it be like to travel into the minds and imaginations of others? Eighth-grader Syah Walker knows exactly what it's like because, as a peer counselor at Emdaria North Middle School, she does just that. Using the high-tech MindLink machine, Syah "Drifts" from physical reality into the minds of troubled students who need her help. Inside the students' minds, she battles alongside them to fight the monstrous mental constructs created by their own fears and anxieties. Along the way, Syah also guides students on a personal journey to break through their inner struggles. Readers will relate to many common middle school issues presented in this highly imaginative and genre-bending sci-fi series.
