Material Removal Behavior during Grinding of Fiber-Reinforced Non-Oxide Ceramics: DE

In the present research work, a heuristic model was developed through experimental single grain cutting and grinding tests as well as numerical simulations, which describes, explains and predicts the cause-effect relationships between process state variables and the material removal mechanisms during grinding of fiber-reinforced non-oxide ceramics, depending on the fiber material, fiber orientation and grinding process parameters.
