In the author's own words: "Luna Park is the fruit of experiences lived in the United States, a country as much my own as Spain. It is fiction and non-fiction at the same time. The themes of this book explore paradoxical feelings of American society, especially in New York: the identity void of the so-called suburbs, atrocious racism, neighborhood watch, the imposture of the woke movement, the normalization of daily suicides, the degeneration of much of American academia, mental illness and its labyrinthine solutions, the excruciating loneliness and the tenderness of the unexpected encounters that occur as a result."
