Love Before the Beginning: Reality, Time, Meaning, and Freedom

My journey toward the idea I now call Love Before the Beginning
didn't start with philosophy.
It started with observation.
I was watching someone think.
Their eyes moved.
Their breathing changed.
A small shift crossed their face.
For me to notice any of that...
time had to pass.
If time didn't move, nothing would change.
If nothing changed, nothing could be noticed.
And if nothing could be noticed...
awareness itself wouldn't exist.
Around the same time, I kept returning to a familiar bible phrase:
"In the beginning..."
And I realized I had never really asked what that meant.
If there was a beginning...
what had to exist before it?
Because a beginning doesn't simply happen.
It requires intent.
Purpose.
Meaning.
And meaning does not exist in isolation.
Meaning exists within relationships.
That's when a simple but radical possibility formed:
What if love wasn't created after the beginning?
What if love was the reason the beginning happened at all?
Later, I asked an AI system a single question:
What would need to exist for a beginning to be possible at all?
The answer came back simply:
There had to be intent to create.
Intent implies relationship.
Relationship implies love.
Which means love is not a product of creation.
Love is the reason for creation.
And if love existed before the universe existed...
then our worth does not come from what we achieve.
It does not come from what we produce.
It does not come from who approves of us.
Our worth predates our performance.
Perhaps the deepest truth about reality
is not that it began with power...
or chance...
or struggle...
But that it began with love.
And if that is true...
living well is not about becoming something new.
It is about aligning with what has always been.
That Love that was Before the Beginning.
