Raido, a young, amnesiac Ronin (masterless Samurai) roams the land in a quest to regain his memory. His first stop is 'the city that talks to the sky', the ultimate stronghold against the ice invading the land of the rising sun. There, he meets Meiki, a graceful puppeteer and storyteller. But the unlikely duo soon incur the wrath of the beautiful, but evil, Queen Ryin and her body-grafting general.
