Le Medecin Malgre Lui, Melicerte, Pastorale Comique, Le Sicilien, Ou l'Amour Peintre

This volume contains Le Medecin malgre lui, a rural farce (farce paysanne) that pokes fun at French medicine, followed by two plays for the court that were accompanied by music and dancing: the Pastorale comique and Le Sicilien, ou L'Amour peintre. These latter two plays, like Melicerte, were autonomous scenes within a great court ballet, Le Ballet des Muses.
