The metaphysical interpretation of Kant's philosophy--a major exegetical movement which emerged in the twentieth century--affirms, in reaction against neo-Kantianism, the centrality of metaphysics in Kantian thought. This work examines the premises, the metaphysical awakening in 1924, and the subsequent development of this school of thought.
