This text is recommended for administration and district personnel who are in charge of induction programs. Her interest in new teacher retention started because of her experience starting the school year in the 8th week as a new teacher, going through an alternative certification program, with no mentor or other traditional new teacher support. In addition, she travelled from school to school for one year, in a different school every six weeks. She has personally been the new teacher nine times in her career and brings a personal perspective as a new teacher.
