Kalkstein

First published in 1951, as part of the Cambridge Plain Texts series, this volume contains the complete text of Kalkstein, a story by Austrian writer Adalbert Stifter (1805-68). The preface to Bunte Steine, the collection from which Kalkstein was taken, is also included. The material is presented in the original German with an editorial introduction in English.
