Lucy is seventeen when she is struck by a curse that has haunted the women of her family for generations. Worse still: the male faerie who cast the curse is present in her modern life. Watching. And waiting, because the price of her failure is not only madness but worse: becoming his possession.

But unlike her mother and grandmother before her, Lucy isn't alone as she faces her impossible tasks. She has loving foster parents who actually believe her. And she has Zach, the boy literally from next door, who has suddenly become her steadfast lover.
