Horst Antes. Eine Sammlung

Horst Antes is considered one of the pioneers of New Figuration in Germany. His iconic "Kopffüßler" (headfooted figures), a consistent exploration of the figure in space, and his house archetypes have brought him international renown since the 1960s. The catalogue offers an overview of the artist's multifaceted body of work-from early painterly experiments to later series of works. The focus is on the significant collection that Wolf and Ursula Hermann bequeathed to the Sprengel Museum Hannover in 1988.
