While the Torah is the foundational text of Judaism, the only places where many people hear and learn about Torah (e.g., religious services, religious school, religious adult study groups), may not provide forums for serious and honest inquiry that could challenge traditional interpretations and assumptions. This supplemental Torah commentary seeks to provide an honest assessment of the text as well as observations on commentaries used within Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox communities.
