A major figure in German literary history, beaten and murdered by Nazi fascists, a Gay ally: Erich Mühsam. A part of the Early German Gay Movement. He read works by Karl Heinrich Ulrichs and Magnus Hirschfeld. He experienced the flourishing Berlin Gay community. He had friends who were homosexuals. He defended their love, and he opposed § 175, the anti-Gay law.
